DVD Cloner 4 for Mac Reviews Visit Site
DVD-Cloner is a very simple application dedicated to the task of copying and burning DVDs.
DVD-cloner will burn to all of the usual formats including DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW and DVD+RW. It will even decrypt a DVD’s region code so that you can make a PAL copy of an NTSC disc or the other way around.
There’s an option to merge two DVDs on to one disc, which could be useful if you wanted to take your movies on a long trip. Or you can pick and choose what you copy from a disc in case you just wanted your favourite episodes of a TV show.
You can also squeeze a DVD-9 (dual layered) down on to a DVD-5 (single layered. There’s a minor loss in quality but this can be helped by choosing to only copy the movie and not the extra features.
This might sound like a strange way to do it. After all, no one wants something of lesser quality. But DVD-5s are far cheaper than the dual layer alternative. (Dual layered discs can be double or triple the price of single layered).
Another great little feature is that DVD-Cloner includes a DVD error corrector. So if your old movie is getting a little damaged, there’s no need to buy a brand new copy, just make your own.
So how do you use it? The interface is nicely laid out and easy to understand. To start with you will choose what you’re copying and then the type of project you want to do. You can choose to copy something from the hard drive, copy a DVD to DVDR or combine two DVDs on to one dual layer DVD.
Next you decide what format you are copying to, so which type of DVD and whether you’re copying just the movie or making your own custom copy.
Once you click the start button the application will get to work ripping the DVD. This shouldn’t take longer than an hour and depending on what you’re copying might take a lot less. When that’s done you’ll be prompted to remove the disc and put in the blank DVD. That’ll work away for a while and when it’s finished that’s it!
For dedicated DVD cloning, ripping or burning you couldn’t get much better. DVD Cloner for Mac does everything you could ever need it to and does all of these jobs incredibly well. The ability to burn ISO files or DVD folders means that making copies of your own home movies is just as easy as copying your DVD collection.
DVD-Cloner for Mac 4 is priced at $59.99 rrp. It’s fairly expensive for something that is just for copying DVDs but will most likely do the job better than the cheaper alternatives.
